Job Summary

AAnchor IT Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team. The Field Technician will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, installing and maintaining IT hardware and software, and ensuring seamless operation of client systems. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues at client locations, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade IT equipment, including computers, servers, networking devices, and peripherals, per company and client specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and repair or replace faulty hardware components as needed.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical needs, provide clear explanations of issues and solutions, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs, including detailed reports of work performed and system configurations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the AAnchor IT Solutions support team to escalate complex issues, share insights, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and safety protocols while performing all job duties.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a certification or 1-3 years of field experience preferred *not required*.
  • Experience: We offer on the job training for anyone just getting started
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment) and software issues.
    • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business applications.
    • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
    • Experience with IT infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus. *Note* it is required that you obtain 1 CompTIA or Cisco certification, and or 2 Microsoft certifications within 90 days of employment
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and travel to client sites as needed.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and the ability to be on call 1 day a week

Starting Wage: $16.75-$19/hr
